The Southeast Regional Meeting of the NCORP Advisory Council was held in Charleston, South Carolina on November 30, 2006. Hosts include the City of Charleston, Charleston County Emergency Preparedness, the Medical University of South Carolina and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
This Southeast Regional meeting of the NCORP Advisory Committee was attended by 250 members of the business community, responders, academicians, faith-based and relief-based organizations.
The discussion focused on identifying readiness best practices for input into the National Blueprint. Sessions on evacuation, port security, and special needs were facilitated by local subject matter experts. A National Blueprint Best Practice Award was presented to Mayor Riley for the Charleston Neighborhood Presidents Network.
The National Blueprint is a real-time resource of readiness best practices for all communities and will be showcased at NCORP's National Congress in Washington, DC in February 2007.

The meeting was held at Gaillard Auditorium Exhibition Hall, located at 77 Calhoun Street in the historic district of Charleston north of Broad Street and west of East Bay Street.
